How about Snoopy's Kisses - ice cream with Hershey Kisses mixed in. Plus Snoopy is known for kissing Lucy, plus the ice cream could be vanilla (or some other white flavor) with the black Hershey kisses that matches Snoopy's coat and spots. I agree. Ben and Jerry's does great with the creative names, and it's a great model to use, and they shouldn't have a lock. Peanuts would be perfect for an ice cream line. Iconix already has an "in" with Walmart and could sell the tubs of Peanuts ice cream in their grocery department. In fact, Walmart has been rolling out stores that are grocery only. There's one near where I live and they do big volume of business.
Bob, I'm moving your follow-up comment about the Casablanca commercial from the Skechers post to here since this is what it relates to:
"London Fog national TV campaign.Imitating movie Casablanca at end in air-port. Humphry, Ingrid , Claude Raines, and Paul henried "This is the beginning of a beautiful friendship!! All wearing London Fog Apparel AND luggage."
A related idea is to license Peanuts to Ben and Jerry's to do a couple of Peanuts flavors. For example: "Red Baron" could have cranberries and strawberry in it. Or "Peanuts" flavor could have peanuts in it and peppermint flavor. I'm sure people at Ben and Jerry's could come up with good ideas. Plus Ben and Jerry's and Schulz/Peanuts are a good match thematically in that Schulz placed a lot of emphasis on values and B & Js does too. I think the B & J customer base would connect with Peanuts.

I like the idea of a whole range of food types. I wonder if they should focus on selling through other major retailers. It's expensive to start up and run and market retail shops. They could leverage existing stores with much less capital. Also I'm not sure if the brand is big enough to pay for an entire store. The rent per square foot of small stores is very high. Another tweak is: try to get a Strawberry Shortcake mini-section in major chains like Walmart. In fact, they could do the DTR approach with Walmart in that Walmart has bakeries in all of its stores, so Walmart could produce the food line just like they produce Ocean Pacific clothing. They could leverage the brand to boost their sales in store and online (Strawberry Shortcake cookies etc.)
