Charley Brown high quality ice-cream. Nationally distributed and for coming USA Charley Brown coffee retail shops.

A related idea is to license Peanuts to Ben and Jerry's to do a couple of Peanuts flavors. For example: "Red Baron" could have cranberries and strawberry in it. Or "Peanuts" flavor could have peanuts in it and peppermint flavor. I'm sure people at Ben and Jerry's could come up with good ideas. Plus Ben and Jerry's and Schulz/Peanuts are a good match thematically in that Schulz placed a lot of emphasis on values and B & Js does too. I think the B & J customer base would connect with Peanuts.

Hi Rusty, Nice fit,but a few flavors wouldn't bring in much revenue. As seen on T.V. Mr. Lemonis was called in to help rescue Mr.Green Tea.who once had a partner in that business. That partner, after leaving, went on to start-up Haagen Daz. Owner of GT and Lemonis Opened a new expanded facility and one would think they have room and ability to start up a big potential competitor to HD and BJ. Your flavor ideas are excellent but I foresee Peanuts Southeastern Asia licensee (already doing well as a coffee shop) invading the US and our adding Peanuts Ice Cream to the mix. With many flavors. How much do you think Duncan paid for Baskin Robbins?Probably a lot more than a Peanuts start up! And of course I'd like to buy my pints at Stop and Shop and other supermarkets. In this Dog-eat- Dog world (HA) of premium competitive ice-cream I believe Peanuts could eat their lunch!...errr ....Icecream.

Go after B&J produced in New England with "Woodstock's" New England Butter Pecan.

Bob, are there Charlie Brown coffee shops being planned? Or is that also a new idea you think they should try? If they're already in the works, ice-cream might go well with it.

For potential USA roll out they could add on doughnuts and give Duncan's ordinary product a little heat.

Suggestion box open! Suggest names and flavors for Peanuts Ice Cream. Charley Brown Fudge? Coffee Dog Patch? Lucy's Lemon ? Red Baron Berry? Linus au lait? Give us some more!!. Walnuts, blueberries, etc!

Woof woof and bits, Nutz to you, Shroeders Shissel, Lucy's kitchen sink,Walnut Bow wow, Coffee Bark. Sally's cherry berry, Heavenly Pistachio, Blueberry Hill Thrill.

Media attention getter: If you don't buy this ice cream we'll kill this dog (picture of snoopy with pistol to head) That would shake things up. "Snoopy's chocolate chunks"

(Idea borrowed from National Lampoon)!

Change that to Red Baron Blackberry, add on "Blood Orange" Why should Ben&Jerry's have a lock on creative names and flavors??

I agree. Ben and Jerry's does great with the creative names, and it's a great model to use, and they shouldn't have a lock. Peanuts would be perfect for an ice cream line. Iconix already has an "in" with Walmart and could sell the tubs of Peanuts ice cream in their grocery department. In fact, Walmart has been rolling out stores that are grocery only. There's one near where I live and they do big volume of business.

Rusty, Would Walmart handle a premium product? Most national brands sell for 2 for $5 large tubs. B&J and HD are premium and sell for $3.99 (sale) and as much as $5.49 at Walgreens. My target would be Stop& Shop and the like.

How about Snoopy's Kisses - ice cream with Hershey Kisses mixed in. Plus Snoopy is known for kissing Lucy, plus the ice cream could be vanilla (or some other white flavor) with the black Hershey kisses that matches Snoopy's coat and spots.
