Umbro should be a strong player in upcoming Brazil Olympics....
Umbro should be a strong player in upcoming Brazil Olympics. Jackets and Tee's in country colors and logos. Dicks holds license? Big mistake. Iconix needs manufacturers, design and production along with a willing sales and back office organization for WORLDWIDE distribution.

I agree Iconix could do higher sales with the Umbro brand than they currently do. Any idea how much longer the contract with Dicks goes for? Does Dick's license cover international sales, or only the US?
Cole went for some quick bucks with Dicks( a retailer?) instead of a competent manufacturer to engage in world wide distribution.
Dick's doesn't have the infrastructure or interest to build a national or international BRAND.
Well, we all now know that there's a "limey" with a lot of retail outlets throughout England and western Europe who's chomping on the bit to get a piece of the Umbro action!
